ABOUT THE WORK
In the work of Gábor Ösz there is a complex relationship between the form of an image and how an image arises. Gábor uses different techniques such as installation, film and photography. This production still from the series Ontology at Foam Editions comes from the film work, Ontology. In this film project the artist uses analogue and digital film loops. He filmed empty film projections in a space, looped the shots and filmed them again. In this way he creates a kind of Droste effect, an image-within-an-image repeat.
