ABOUT THE WORK
This photo is from the series Touche-à-Tout, which is part travel log of things encountered and part sensory quest to revive our ability to marvel at the things that are right in front of us. It offers a window through which we can perceive endless different realities, up close and from a distance, suggesting a wondrous alternative to the earthly mundane.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Doina Kraal (1980) graduated from the Fine Art and New Media department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam in 2002. She then earned a Master in Fine Art at the Central Saint Martins College of Art in London. Her work has been shown in the Point Blank Gallery, Johannesburg (2005), Times Square Gallery, New York (2008), Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2010), Foam Photography Museum, Amsterdam (2012) and other locations in the Netherlands. Since 2020 Doina is a PhD candidate at PhDArts, a practice-lead doctoral study programme at ACPA (Academy of Creative and Performing Arts) Leiden University. 
 
ABOUT BUYING THIS WORK
Most photo prints have a small white border around all sides. For a framer this border is necessary to be able to frame it properly. The print will be carefully wrapped and send as an insured package. You will receive an e-mail with a Track & Trace code when the package is on its way. A framed copy will be on display at Foam Editions, the gallery on the third floor of Foam Fotografiemuseum.
