Foam Magazine #36: Talent (2013)

The seventh annual Talent Issue showcases the work of 16 talented photographers aged between 18 - 35 selected from Foam’s annual Talent Call. Chosen from 1.600 portfolios submitted from 72 countries – the Talent Issue aims to collate and investigate the future of photography.

Recognising the impossibility of generalizing a new generation of photographers, this Talent Issue is formulated as a means to gain an impression as to how these Talents are relating to the medium of photography today. The main observation of which is the unrestrained freedom and creativity with which photographic images are now being made.

Launched with an accompanying floating billboard exhibition featuring an image from every 2013 Foam Talent, the exhibit toured the water of the Mercatorplein, Keizersgracht - outside the Foam Museum, and finished at Unseen the international photography fair.
