ABOUT THE WORK
This work is published in the book Sommières 1961, published in 2011 by Im(r)age éditions. It consists of photographs made by Johan van der Keuken (1938-2001) in the summer of 1961 with his Leica M3 camera. He spent the summer there, in this small city in the South of France, with his wife Yvonne Apol.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Johan van der Keuken (1938-2001) was a Dutch photographer, filmmaker and documentary maker who was schooled in Paris as a cineaste. His prolific career spanned more than four decades in which he published nine photobooks and made fifty-five documentaries.
ABOUT BUYING THIS WORK
Most photo prints have a small white border around all sides. For a framer this border is necessary to be able to frame it properly. The print will be carefully wrapped and send as an insured package. You will receive an e-mail with a Track & Trace code when the package is on its way. A framed copy will be on display at Foam Editions, the gallery on the third floor of Foam Fotografiemuseum.
