Working with photography, archives and generative imaging technologies, he examines how photographic images, classification systems and technological infrastructures shape our understanding of reality. His approach employs humour and a blurring of fact and fiction to question narratives of technological progress and assumptions of photographic truth.
Eesly’s work is held in international institutional collections and was exhibited at the Rencontres d'Arles (FR), Haus am Kleistpark (DE), Jimei x Arles International Photography Festival (CN) and Hangar Photo Art Center (BE), among others. His images have been published in numerous international publications, including Foam Magazine, The Guardian, Fisheye, ARTE, Libération, El País and La Repubblica. His self-published book New Farmer was nominated for the PHotoESPAÑA Best Photography Book of the Year Award.
Eesly is one of the runners-up from the Foam Talent call 2026.

About the work
This work is part of the series New Farmer, which questions the dominant narrative of the Green Agricultural Revolution through a blurring of fact and fiction. The project explores our extractive relationship to nature and the way history is made and perceived through images.
"Using generative imaging tools, Eesly points to the absurdity of these claims of endless and effortless abundance made by corporations and governments alike, in a series of images depicting genetically modified crops in which the produce seems to grow exponentially. At first teetering on the edge of believability, the series quickly veers into absurdity, with broccoli towering above farm buildings, clouds of fertiliser engulfing fields and seed banks being detonated to make way for pesticide factories. In this series, Eesly probes the unforeseen dangers in the pursuit of growth and capital, of risk and instability. The absurdity at the heart of Eesly’s work holds up a mirror to our increasingly uncertain times, where new technologies are being sold with the same promises of effortless abundance."
Text by Isabel Walter, Foam Magazine #68: Talent

About buying this work
The work will be carefully wrapped and send as an insured package.
